Set in Shikun Hamorim, a late 1950s neighborhood in Givatayim known for its two- story buildings, pedestrian paths, and mature grove at its center, this apartment reflects the area’s quiet, community- oriented character.
Rather than eliminating the home’s original split levels, we turned them into its defining feature. A sculptural concrete element bridges the height difference, becoming a dining bench above and a library below. The intervention opens the space while adding a new layer of function and materiality
Designed for a young family of five, the project embraces the home’s original architecture, proving that existing constraints can become its greatest strengths.
